The Addis Ababa Youth Association was established by a group of interested young boys and girls between the age of 18 and 30. Members of the association are those who pay a monthly fee of 0.25 cents. The Addis Ababa Youth Association (AAYA) was found on March 1,1998. The foundation of AAYA involves a huge number of youth found in Addis Ababa. (Contemporarily, the association has 65,339 members who belong to any kind of ethnic, religious, political and gender influences. Since few months, the number of youth joining the association dramatically increased from 65,339 up to 80,000. Meanwhile the shares of women members are to be reported 54 per cent of the whole.
